My Volvo County Code Woes
Recently we had the county codes officer stop by the house due to an anonymous tip about some cars parked in our back yard.
It's true. They were parked there.
So now we have a huge issue and it can be solved by throwing money at it! Great!

I finally took the time to tear down the turbo motor in the warwgn. It did the 240 thing and developed an external head gasket leak. Thankfully the motor wasn't hurt at all. This video is the aftermath of all the work, figuring out other problems, and letting the ole lady take er for a rip! We love our turbo 240s!!!!! A deal landed in my lap to bring home this 1971 Volvo 142 and I could not say yes fast enough!! I was hoping to rehome it but I fell in love and now I'm stuck with it! I don't like scrapping cars but in some cases they are good for a few parts to keep other cars on the road. Fortunately this one was cheap and doesn't run. While stripping the car I made the realization that the turbo motor might actually be good... Lets see if we can get it out without injury!

Have you ever considered moving outside the United States? As I see it in all the channels (from the states) there are those mysterious laws and regulations that are so alien and seems to be derived from a need and greed.
I think about it all the time. Previously I lived in Japan for 6 years. Happiest days of my life! Any developed country will have laws and regulations.

Can't you just park register and insurance cars on right side of the driveway from street, up to garage? But still - you're lucy, some people don't have 1 parking spot to work on - you have whole driveway and 2 garages... ;)
